Guest Access & Single-Level Living

The cabin is designed for easy, single-level living with two distinct entry options:

  • Main Entry: Keypad access at the front door via six exterior steps.

  • Stair-Free Path: A gently sloping path from the driveway leads directly onto the back porch.

  • Keyless Check-In: Your unique automated door code will be provided prior to arrival.

The Land, Privacy, & Community

We value your peace, quiet, and solitude. Please note that our 30-acre forest is a shared community ecosystem, home to us as well as other travelers who may be staying on the land in our Cocoon Cottage—our off-grid glamping cabin tucked deeper into the forest. To ensure you feel completely at ease, here is how the layout works:

  • Your Private Cabin: Your indoor living space and outdoor patio and fire pit areas are entirely yours to enjoy.

  • Host Proximity: We live on-site full-time in a separate tiny house located roughly 60 feet away. Because of our close layout, our tiny house is visible from the front windows of Sunrise Cabin as well as the main driveway.

  • Privacy: We intentionally located our tiny house so that none of our windows look into any of your windows, ensuring your indoor space remains personal and secluded.

  • A Living, Working Property: You will be staying on a working property. You will likely see us out and about developing our permaculture gardens, chopping wood, building forest paths, and foraging.

  • Shared Acreage: You are welcome to explore the forest trails we have carved throughout our land.

  • Thoughtful Hospitality: Your time here is your own. While we love welcoming and sharing stories with our guests, we deeply respect your desire to unplug and honor your need for space. However, you are never truly isolated; we are nearby and always happy to share local insider tips or offer a helping hand with whatever you need.

  • Parking & Access: We share the main driveway, but we provide a dedicated, clearly marked parking space reserved exclusively for you.
