Our Story

Hello! We are Andrea, Jamey, and Anderson Rabold, and we are grateful to be living our lives in deep connection with all Mother Nature has to offer, and to be sharing that abundance with you.

Before moving to Maine, Andrea was a nonprofit executive director and Jamey, a stay-at-home dad and photographer. One month prior to our son, Anderson, being born in 2017, we sold our 2000 sq ft house in suburban Denver, and moved to a tiny house on wheels in a more natural setting in the foothills of Northern Colorado where we were surrounded by trees, wild plants and animals, and a river. This wild shift in our journey facilitated our movement out of a more traditional modern American life filled with separation, disconnection, and distraction, into a life that could cultivate a deep relationship with the natural world and within that, interconnectivity to the whole. While as parents of a newborn we weren’t always sure whether we were coming or going, living so closely with nature and its cycles and rhythms had a profound effect on us - like a healing balm we hadn’t known we needed. Three years later in November 2020, our souls came calling with a new adventure and a grander vision, and we knew we needed land to do it. We began our search in January 2022, and by March, we were purchasing a 30 acre forest in Midcoast Maine. The train was on the track.

One of the most important parts of our vision was living in deeper community with others and sharing whatever we had with them, but we weren’t exactly sure what that could look like, so we spent the next year and half deciding what to build and how, and from there the seed of Nadair Maine was formed. By July 2023, we said goodbye to our lives in Colorado, moved our tiny house on wheels to our new home in Maine, and began a new relationship with our natural surroundings within the Maine forest ecosystem. For the next several months, we lived off-grid while developing the property. By March 2024, we opened our first short-term rental on Airbnb. That cabin is the Sunrise Cabin.

Today, we are deepening our commitment to our vision, and bringing the rest of Nadair Maine to life. Offering Elopements is something we feel deeply connected to. After 20 years of marriage, we know the portal you are about to walk through. What it takes to remain in deep commitment to each other as the honeymoon phase wears off and the real magic of the relationship begins - embracing the conflict born out of the friction of navigating life’s twists and turns together. Figuring out how to make mistakes, learn, grow, and laugh together even when life is hard. We have learned and are still learning what we truly meant when we said, “until death do we part” all those years ago.

Through our years in partnership and raising a son together, we have also witnessed how few of our modern spaces have the ability to hold space for deep and intentional life transitions. Examples of this can be found throughout our American culture but very specifically within our modern wedding ceremony practices where so many of us are spending $20,000+ trying to make our day “magazine worthy”, only to discover that those dollars didn’t make it meaningful. Our deepest desire is to support people looking for a different way - one using the power of intention and ritual to connect more soulfully with themselves and others.

Jamey Rabold

OFFICIANT & PHOTOGRAPHER

Hello! I’m Jamey, your friendly Nadair Officiant and photographer. I grew up in Texas where I also meandered through college, finally earning a BFA in theater and dance. Out in the real world, and after a move to Colorado, I felt a strong compulsion to be of service to my community so I decided to put those acting and dancing skills to good use by working for the public library. The artistic drive never stopped, however, and it wasn’t long before I picked up a camera and started shooting headshots on the side. Soon my service nature found its way into my photography work as well, and I began donating my time photographing for local non-profits.

By late 2017 I left a 10 year career at the library to be a stay at home dad, and kept photographing as much as I could find time for.

After that short, 17 year stint in Colorado, it was time for a new adventure. In 2023 we packed up and moved to Maine to live closer to nature and to figure out a way to help others do the same.

Andrea Rabold

ELOPEMENT COORDINATOR

I have had a variety of experiences over my professional life including dance teacher, store manager, actor, operations coordinator, consultant/coach, executive director, and now entrepreneur. During my 23 years in business and people leadership, I have worked in the corporate, nonprofit, small business, government, education, and entertainment sectors. I have engaged in organizational development, leadership, strategy and implementation, advocacy, fundraising, event planning, public speaking, problem solving, and finance. I have also spent the last 15+ years practicing a wide range of healing art modalities including yoga, meditation, contemplation, shadow work, inner child healing, and somatic body awareness. I love and really appreciate the intersection of all of my experiences because when my soul came calling to go even deeper, I was able to answer that call by building businesses that align even more deeply with my heart’s vision for the world. Nadair Maine is a part of that vision. I can’t wait to work with you as you step through one of the most beautiful portals of your life.
